What does a well-built offshore structure actually include?

Echouforge delivers four integrated service lines—not modular products—because offshore structures only perform when every component is designed together.

Structuring: the foundation of every engagement.

Entity selection, layering, and ownership mapping conducted before any registration is filed.

An offshore structure is not a product you purchase off a shelf. It is an arrangement of legal entities, ownership relationships, banking mandates, and compliance obligations that must cohere from inception. Echouforge begins every structuring engagement with a diagnostic: we map your current assets, domicile, counterparties, and objectives, then model two or three structural scenarios before recommending one. Typical deliverables include an entity diagram, a jurisdiction rationale memorandum, a timeline for establishment, and a compliance checklist. We work with licensed corporate service providers in each jurisdiction and pass their costs to clients at cost—no markup.

Banking: introductions that reflect current market reality.

We do not promise account opening—we identify the institutions most likely to accept your profile and manage the introduction.

International banking for East African residents has become materially harder since 2019. Correspondent relationships have narrowed, due-diligence requirements have increased, and processing timelines have lengthened. Echouforge maintains current intelligence on which private and commercial banks are accepting which client profiles. We prepare a banking memorandum—covering source-of-funds narrative, supporting document schedule, and compliance history—before any introduction is made. This preparation reduces rejection rates and protects your reputational standing with institutions you may approach again in future.

Advisory and compliance: the two disciplines most often overlooked.

Structures require ongoing stewardship—not just a formation document and a first invoice.

Annual Structure Review

Regulatory environments shift. We conduct an annual review of each client's structure against changes in CRS reportable jurisdictions, Kenya Revenue Authority guidance, and the OECD minimum standard. Clients receive a written summary of any required adjustments and a recommended action timeline.

Economic Substance Assessment

Several jurisdictions—including BVI, Cayman, and UAE—now impose economic substance requirements on certain entity types. We assess whether your structure triggers those obligations and, where it does, document the substance evidence required to satisfy local regulators.

FATCA and CRS Exposure Mapping

We map every entity in your structure against its reporting classification under FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard. Clients receive a clear picture of what information flows to which tax authority and under what conditions—allowing informed decisions about structure design.

Restructuring and Wind-Down

Not every structure remains appropriate indefinitely. When objectives change, we advise on restructuring or orderly wind-down—including asset migration, residual liability management, and closure of banking facilities in a sequence that minimises reputational and regulatory exposure.

What Echouforge does not do.

Clarity about scope protects both the client and the adviser.

We do not provide legal opinions, tax opinions, or audited financial statements—those require licensed practitioners in the relevant jurisdiction, and we will refer you to appropriate professionals. We do not form entities or open bank accounts ourselves; we manage the introduction to licensed providers who do. We do not accept clients whose primary objective is concealment of assets from legitimate legal process. Results—particularly banking timelines—depend on institutional decisions outside our control. We state this plainly at the outset of every engagement.

Every engagement begins with a diagnostic conversation.

No paperwork, no retainer—a single call to determine whether Echouforge is the right fit for your situation.
